Volunteer.
Whether you want to volunteer with us, see what we do during the year, learn about behind the scenes information, or hear about ways to support Camp Swamp, you’ve come to the right place! Find ways to become part of and get involved in our community here in ways other than camping!
how to support us
Because Camp Swamp is a nonprofit, we always need the help and support of our community to keep camp running! We definitely need your help financially, but there are other ways to support us too! From being a Friend of the Swamp to volunteering or inviting a friend, we want to partner with you.
1. BECOME A FRIEND OF THE SWAMP
Consider donating or becoming a Friend of the Swamp! Even a little goes a long way, so something as small as $5 a month helps all the small donations add up (that’s only like one chicken sandwich or a coffee!). We need financial support to keep camp running every year.
2.FOLLOW & Interact with us on social media
Following us on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook help us to reach people that don’t know about camp yet! The more you comment, like, share, or tag us in your photos, the more Camp Swamp is shared. This is 100% free and even keeps you up to date on the latest photos and events!
3.bring a friend to camp
We want our community to grow and for kids all over the world to experience a safe, spiritual space. This includes your friends and your neighbors! If everyone brought one friend, we would fill the weeks with more connections than ever thought possible!
4.share your camp stories in your community & with us
Spread the word! If you love camp or have stories, share them with those you love. Ask your church leaders if you can share what camp has done for you or email your stories to us, so we can share them too! We love knowing about how you found us and what camp was like for you.
5. pray for us & be creative!
Prayers work, so partner with us as we partner with the Creator. These aren’t the only way to support us! We’ve seen campers hold bake sales for donations or make videos to promote camp and we are so grateful for every kind of support you give us.
volunteering
We choose counselors who are fun-loving, high-energy, spiritually-minded, creative people who love working with children. Our counselors are able to share with campers their appreciation for God, and connect with them on a deep level. They are people we trust to influence our own children, so you can be assured and confident in their ability to take care of yours. In addition, our staff is reliable, honest, and have high principles for themselves. They are tremendous servants and live by a set of standards that ensure the safety of every member of camp.

The camp medical staff is an integral part of camp. ‘Impossible’ is the best way to describe running camp without the expertise, patience, and loving care of our camp medical staff. Most of the duties consist of administering medications and treating sprains, cuts, insect bites, and stomach aches. At times the medical care requires further skill, but we always hope your emergency training is not needed! Anyone applying to be on the Medical Staff is required to submit an application of health, tender all pertinent licenses, complete a Camp Swamp Values paragraph, and pass a third-party background check.

Teen workers are a behind-the-scenes necessity of camp. In essence, they are the gears that keep the clock running. There is no cost to the teen except for well… blood, sweat and tears.
